Rylan’s Room Makeover

When we bought the house, Rylan’s room was the only room that “really” needed to be painted. It had a floral border on the walls and the walls were white. He wanted a superhero room, “just like in our old house.” So… we have (just about) finished his room!! Here is the before…

We chose Lunar Surface from Behr paints. It is a lighter grey color and I loved that it was neutral and light to go with the Superhero theme. He loves his vintage superhero looking signs from Hobby Lobby. I purchased them a little over a year ago, but they still have them. I also got the knobs at Hobby Lobby! All of this stuff was half off!

I found these adorable batman decals on Etsy (linked here) for a great price!! They came internationally. But shipped so quickly. I was really pleased with the price, delivery time and quality. We measured these to look staggered. The whole process took about 40 minutes. It adds a bit of texture and fun to his room!!

His bedding is from Target. I think the last thing we will do is add a Beddy (as soon as I can decide on one). And hubby is working on a cute desk for the corner of his room. He will be starting Kindergarten this year and really wants a desk to do homework on. (Can’t believe my first baby is starting school already)

The curtains were a great find on Amazon, at a fantastic price and they are blackout curtains! And the rod is from Target and was also a steal!

Rylan loves his new room and I am loving how it is turning out!!  Stay tuned for his desk and Beddy reveal!!
