Shelves, shelves and more shelves

As you can probably already tell, I love shelves! haha They are a great way to add storage to a space. We added shelves in several spaces of our new home. If you read my previous blog posts, you read about how we made our shelves. These shelves were super inexpensive to create and add a bold, yet functional, statement to our rooms. The first set of shelves are in our dining room. They allow me to change up our dining room décor pretty often and they also complete our buffet, which is an old furniture piece my parents passed down to us.

I wanted a way to store some movies, hold our dvd player and cable box, while adding a decorative piece! The trunk was a find during a day of antique shopping with my mom!! She gifted it to me as a birthday present! It is a favorite for sure and stores all of our blankets. living-room-shelves

Last, but certainly not least, is our laundry room! First, I am so thankful to have a laundry room in our new home. And the fact that it is on the same level as the bedrooms… is a serious bonus!! With two littles and two working parents, we do a lot of laundry in this house! So thankful to have this new perk in our home! This shelf is holding some great pieces from Hobby Lobby. The wire basket is red and adds a pop of color. I saw the idea to use a basket to hold detergents on Pinterest and loved it. The little sign is also from Hobby Lobby! laundry
